RAF Far East Air Force BAC TSR-2 “What if”

Far East Air Force BAC TSR.2

A pair of Royal Air Force British Aircraft Corporation TSR-2s roar over a Burmese jungle.

For the past four years I have been heavily involved in a project called The Empire’s Twilight which is an alternate history project started by a mate of mine named Tim Morley. Tim was looking for a backstory to his many “What if” models and together along with a few others we hammered out an entire alternate history where the British Empire survived World War II under the guise of the New Commonwealth and was essentially a third party in the Cold War. This ultimately leads to a nuclear war in 1991.

To create this image I took one of Tim’s TSR-2 models which in this case was in the guise of his favorite colour scheme, that of the FEAF, and cut the image out. I then blended the TSR-2 image to a typical Burmese jungle background and dirtied the resulting image to make it look aged. The “second” TSR-2 is in fact the same model and I tilted the image to make it less obvious as well as played with the tones to give the impression of depth.

If you would like to know more about The Empire’s Twilight you can check out the Facebook page or read the Wikia.
