Video Game Archaeology Blog #4 – Scary UK Sega Advert

In the late 80s to early 90s the Sega marketing team in the UK ran with the slogan “Do us a favour; plug me in to a Sega”.

This is the first commercial to use that slogan and the idea was your TV stops and asks you to buy a Sega Master System to play on it. The idea is a good one but it was executed poorly. At no point does it show you gameplay of the system which boggles the mind somewhat. Also the face came across as quite scary.
